Off-Road Performance, Extraordinary Power
The GX 550 enhances its legendary off-road performance with standard Full-Time 4WD and Torsen® limited-slip center differential. This ensures consistent responsiveness in varied terrain and optimal distribution of driving force. The GX 550 also responds to road conditions, ensuring overall vehicle stability in straight-line driving. The GX 550 features a twin-turbocharged 3.4L V6 engine with a 10-speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission, producing 349 hp and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. It offers consistent acceleration and control across various driving terrains. Towing capacity has increased to 8,000 lbs for Signature, Premium, and Overtrail grades.
Intuitive Driving Technology
The 2024 GX 550 features a new lower instrument panel, simplifying front and passenger seat experience. It connects the Head-Up Display to the standard 14-inch Multimedia Touchscreen Display with Lexus Interface technology. The GX 550 also comes standard with wireless Apple Carplay® Integration, Android AutoTM compatibility, and a digital 12.3 Multi-Information Display. The GX 550 features Lexus Safety System (LSS+) 3.0, providing enhanced safety features like Pre-Collision System, Pedestrian Detection, All-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. These features provide unparalleled confidence on every road.
Rugged Yet Refined Exterior
The GX 550 SUV boasts an aggressive exterior design that embodies the rugged persona of the GX line. It is a body-on-frame SUV with a calming, modern interior space. The GX 550 is available in six different grades, including Signature, Premium, Luxury, Executive, and Lexus' new Overtrail and Overtrail +. This new generation of GX features a square body profile and horizontal design. The vehicle's wide track, fender flares, and raised Premium Triple Beam headlamp and grille add to its unique appearance. The vehicle is equipped with 33-inch tires, adding to its strong presence.
Comfortable and Spacious Cabin
Ergonomic seat cushions and headrest enhancements have been made to improve driving posture. Heated and ventilated seats are standard in the driver's and front passenger's seats, and heated second-row seats are available. The generous third row offers comfort for every passenger. The GX 550 comes in two available configurations: captain's chairs or a 60:40 split-folding bench, offering ample cargo capacity.
First-Ever Lexus Overtrail Grade
The Overtrail grade is available on the new GX 550, boasting a host of features and specialized styling, including eye-catching bi-tone paint combinations designed to create a cohesive relationship with the outdoors. Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, Downhill Assist Control and 3D Multi-Terrain Monitor Systems are available on GX 550 Overtrail grade for optimal traction on trails.
